Tram drawn by Vineta to be printed on e-tickets this autumn
The new low-floor tram drawn by Vineta will be printed on yellow e-tickets this autumn. It has won with a comfortable majority of 927 votes. A total of 3351 visitors of the "Rīgas satiksme" website participated in the vote that lasted one month – from June 4 till July 5.
The second best result was obtained by the tram drawn by Viktors, which received 493 votes. It was followed by the drawing of Dmitrijs with 277 votes.
As reported earlier, on June 1 the new low-floor tram made its first trip. As this day coincided with the International Child Protection Day, a special event was held at tram depot No. 5 for children from Riga orphanages. The event started with a guided tour of the tram depot, after which children made drawings of what they had seen at the depot under the guidance of artist Jānis Anmanis. These drawings were available at the website of "Rīgas satiksme", which every visitor could evaluate and vote for.
